This tremendous Sci Fi sweepstakes includes my science fiction noir, Monster Stalker! 35 book pile to win. GO HERE: bit.ly/fall-sci-fi
I haven't been back to Booklikes in months, mostly because Life has gotten troublesome. Not out of the woods yet. But am working on things not novel writing---I've discovered I like storyboarding, so am working on portfolio samples for that. I also, inexplicably, have gotten back into drawing comic book stuff. *SHOCKED EMOJI*
One is a Kickstarter graphic novel of Yiddish tales for Trina Robbins, and a second Kickstarter upcoming for a public domain 50s sci-fi space girl comic book, MYSTA OF THE MOON. That one will be 100+ pages of lurid 50s sci-fi, 22 pages by me. So stay tuned!
Preview of this post shows the graphic as this huge thing! Apologies if it mess with your feed!
~~Elizabeth!
Limited boxed sets are limited!
OH, and I haven't made FAE CAME ON THE PLANE! A Darquepunk Novella, into an individual book YET. It's still only offered in the ENCHANTED: FAIRY REVELS collection with 8 other fairy books by 8 more authors, for only 99 cents. Then Tomorrow, like that fairy coach, it goes POOF, an invisible pumpkin never to be seen again.
I've been awol because of Life, :-/ I'm probably doing way more than I can and still unable to make regular life work. Writing and publishing then suffers. POISON GARDEN: An Elle Black Penny Dread Vol 2 continues to wait for final polishing, I still haven't made Body Chase, the third in the Charm School trilogy into a paperback, and so on. Yet what little time I get, the stories still come and I have to write. The latest in the works is called RAPACIOUS, another Darquepunk novella where I deal with sexbots and AI. A difficult subject really, despite my making it uncomfortably funny. I really need to do sci-fi romance (well, I never seem to fulfill romance tropes, but I try) more conventionally in my next attempt. ;)
Hoping this all finds you well---reading, reviewing, and giving Real Life a good kick in the patootie.
OH, and the fairy boxed set? It's a great mix of stories, from contemporary to sci-fi!! (by yours truly), so Enjoy. :)
Love, ~~eeee
Both my MEDUSA: A Dark Victorian Penny Dread, and Charm School’s WRECKING FAERIE made finals in the Golden Crown Literary Society’s 2016 Goldie Awards! *whew*
Congratulations to all the finalists! http://bit.ly/1SU0kbD
Considering that I'm a little unconventional in my characters and stories, I'm gratified! :)
I really want to thank all the ladies I’m with in this boxed set. The Blazing Indie Collective are awesome people! <3
See my cover? :D
Happy Release Week, we’ve hit Amazon Top Ten in Fairy Tales. Hooray, and thank you!
( IF you haven’t checked it out already, it’s 99c! Enjoy.

And in the UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01E1WO350

I've been gone 3 months! But I've been #writing. My latest, FAE CAME ON THE PLANE! a Darquepunk novella with Nico and Bear---a Faeries V Vampire event---is now Available. Part of the ENCHANTED: FAIRY REVELS boxed set, you get 9 authors, 9 books, and 800+ pp of paranormal romance and urban fantasy for only 99 cents. Put that in your fairy ring!
FAE CAME ON THE PLANE! is my take on 70s disaster films, so I think it's a lot of fun (and yeah, kind of violent). Enjoy! :)
( I can't get the Witching Hour Collection to show up at BookLikes, so link below! )
WRECKING FAERIE, 1st in the Charm School novella series, is available now for .99 cents via the WITCHING HOUR COLLECTION. That price and the boxed set of ten novels goes Poof when the clock strikes 2016.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B018OT6HMI/ref=cm_sw_su_dp
BODY CHASE: The Fall of Fairer Than, 3rd in the series and where Bunny’s cousin Honey Baker switches Fairer Than into Dean’s body, Dean into Fairer Than’s, Fairer Than into Bunny’s body—is still 1.99, the pre-order price, but will go up JAN 2nd. So do grab it now! http://amzn.to/1QhOmfK
I've been busy being sick, among other holiday celebrations! So I'm way behind on catching up here at BookLikes. I can't remember if I said HOT RODDIN' TO HELL, the 2nd in the Charm School series, was available, but at least I'm letting you know that BODY CHASE is. ;)
I also have one Charm School short story live plus three of FAERIE TALES FOR SAPPHIC GIRLS, which is a series consisting (so far), of LADY FROST, THE GIRL WHO SET FORTH TO LEARN FEAR, and FAIR & RAVEN HAIR. I guess I'll promote those, later. (turns into a statue).
Please enjoy if you take advantage of the sales!
And then this tweet happened:
Thank you to the Rainbow Awards, 2015. The competition for Best Lesbian Fantasy & Fantasy Romance was stiff! I saw all the finalist titles and was just glad I made it to the last round. My thanks to the judges. :) tee hee (pets certificate)
Here's what they had to say about Medusa. :)
I wish I had this poetic grace for the sinister, decayed, and strangely ugly. Everything stark, defined, and immediate. This is a celluloid film, and perfectly cinematic; it is precise. Gorgeous weird fiction. Surrealism to eat.
I pick up horror anthologies just to read Amelia Mangan's stuff, and now she has a novel out. But someday all her short stories need to be collected, somehow. The sideshow mermaid from that carnival antho; the girl assailed by moth boys in Phobophobias.
BRIDEGROOM is the saturated film yet to be, of an unconventional First Contact story. You can read it for Free from Book Smugglers:
http://thebooksmugglers.com/2015/10/the-bridegroom-by-amelia-mangan.html
With HOT RODDIN', Charm School doesn't end forever. Fairer Than's story needs telling (and is with the editor right now!). But for those who had been so patient (and managed to stay alive) for the past 16 yrs while I finish the storyline to THIS:
Here you go, HOT RODDIN' TO HELL. It contains some of my most beloved scenes with Bunny, Dean, and Fairer Than. I hope you enjoy it. :)
Love,
~~eee
...I'd direct share the post, but it pushes to Goodreads and my Amazon Author's Page without the 'reshare' note and then looks like *I* wrote it. And regards this post, it would look very odd if I'd written it. :)
http://allhailgrimlock.booklikes.com/post/1278983/wow-this-brings-back-memories
Thank you Grimmie, and to all the kids for which Charm School has helped. This is what it's all about.
And I put the two covers up so you know what Grim is talking about.
much love,
~~eeee
I spent my lunch at The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles today! So freaking cool! Not only is it HUGE (seriously I could have spent forever in there), but it's filled with art installations, rented art studios, a book tunnel, an actual vault, and even a book labyrinth. Yes. You heard me right. A BOOK LABYRINTH.
I was in there for 45 minutes and that was JUST in the Science Fiction and Fantasy section. It took me that long to peruse that section. I was so overwhelmed, and totally in love. Of course, I had to leave with some books. I support what I love :).
(originally published in Pearson's Magazine, April 1905)
Short and excellent; that was a fun read!
It had been suggested to me ages ago when I was writing Poison Garden: An Elle Black Penny Dread Vol 2 (to be released next year, due to *long sob story* :( ). Yaaaay 19th c creepy/horror garden stories. iN England. :D

MOAR from the Witching Hour Collection! Releasing all over the place and available Now:
WITCH WOOD by Melanie Karsak
Harm none, and be ready for zombies.
In the little town of Brighton, Amelia’s practice of Wicca marks her as a curiosity both at home and at school. But Amelia can’t change what she is. Knowing how to see auras, heal, and cast spells comes naturally to her. Only Madame Knightly, the ancient matriarch and owner of Witch Wood Estate, to whom Amelia plays caretaker, doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, the crumbling old mansion is full of oddities.
However, when modern treatments fail to make a dent in the flu outbreak sweeping the globe, those who once ridiculed her white witchcraft turn to Amelia for help. While her eucalyptus tinctures prove no more effective than western medicine, her spell-casting is another matter. The residents of Brighton soon depend on the very magic they once ridiculed to save their lives.
**Witch Wood is a tie-in novella that compliments The Harvesting Series. It can be read alone or as part of the Harvesting series**

The third release for The Witching Hour Collection!
Sleep here in the forest of shadows. Live inside the land of your dreams...
She has to abandon the world of light to truly live.
~
When Tilda Brennen’s family dies in a fire, she is left wheelchair-bound and suffering from survivor's guilt. It was her fault. She'd left the candles burning that night.
But there is a deeper, darker truth to the accident.
“He” has slept for years, dormant and untouched by the human world. Then she arrives at the little house beyond the woods and he awakens. He has waited so long for another chance. This time, he will not fail.
Going to the voice that summons her may heal Tilda’s body, but it will also cause her to lose everything she’s come to love. And once she enters the forest of shadows, returning to human life might prove impossible.
And now to:
The Witch of Roan Mountain, by Blaire Edens
Maeve McMahan, a criminal defense attorney, has just blown the case of her career. When she returns home to the mountains of North Carolina to clear her head, she moves back in with her grandmother. On an easy hike, she meets the one woman she never expected to see: Delphine, The Witch of Roan Mountain.
Accused of a terrible crime she didn’t commit, Delphine has been haunting the county since just after the Civil War and she can’t rest until her name is cleared. She’s counting on Maeve’s help to get to the bottom of the century-old mystery.
Campbell Hyatt, a sheriff’s deputy, has never gotten over his first love, Maeve. When her grandmother breaks her leg, Campbell’s on duty and he finds Maeve at the top of Roan Mountain, convinced she’s seen a ghost. A cop who doesn’t believe in ghosts, he thinks Maeve needs to be focused on her grandmother not an old legend that hits a little too close to home for his liking.
With Maeve’s car out of commission and Granny stuck in the hospital, Campbell and Maeve are thrown together in a quest to find out why Delphine was branded a witch. It will take both of them to get to the bottom of a nineteenth century story love story that may impact them more than they realize. Can they banish a ghost without rekindling an old flame of their own?
And finally:

RELEASE THE FAERIES–
This is finally LIVE, and I'm working on Hot Roddin' to Hell, the 2nd book, right now. Which will conclude the story arc in the comic book series, and then segue right into Body Chase (or as I like to call it, The Fall of Fairer Than). That's already done, it only needs to be tweaked to fit Hot Roddin'.
FIRST review of Wrecking Faerie (at GR), is "Team Fairer Than". :D
Curious as to how that swings among the readers; it has always been favorable for the faerie. ^,.,^
WHEN you get your copy, enjoy!
~~~dashes away to do who knows what
...yesterday! As soon as I access me control panels, I'm raising the cover price, so go for eet now now now
And thank you for those who already have a copy in their cold, pale hands! ^v^ ENJOY
